We were so blessed to attend Ashley and Russell's wedding this last Saturday! I just love weddings! The "love is in the air" feeling that is just so present! This was a very special wedding. Vaughn (Ashley's Dad) being Mark's best friend since High School...we have seen Ashley grow up and mature into a beautiful woman. Noah was their ring-bearer and he was so excited to be a part of the wedding. He took his job quite seriously! He did a super job...so professional! We are thinking of hiring him out as a professional ring-bearer...I think he's working on his business cards as I type this! He of course had a fabulous time at the reception...dancing...that boy has some moves...although he calls it "tricks" not dancing! I think the sweetest moment was when he asked the flower girl to dance...cameras were clicking away! My camera, is of course out of commission...so I'll have to see if anyone can share their photos with me. Everything was just perfect for Ashley and Russell's special day! The church was beautifully decorated...the Bride looked AMAZING...the bridesmaids's were beautiful (Lindsay was a bridesmaid too)! The groom looked so handsome along with his groomsmen! Weddings always make me cry...I think it's a combination of things...memories of our wedding...memories of Lindsay's wedding...thoughts of Aaron's wedding in the future...and then of course the beauty of the love that is so evident between the couple pledging their lives to one another. Makes me happy to be in love with My Love! I have a wedding confession to make...I don't watch the Bride walk down the aisle...I watch the groom's face as she walks down the aisle. That is my FAVORITE part of the wedding! Russell's face was all lit up! From where we sat I had perfect view of his face during the ceremony and I must say...seeing the love in his eyes and excitement on his face in looking into his Bride's eyes...I couldn't help but cry! You feel like you are sharing such a beautiful and intimate moment! Then there are those wedding photo montages that have become so popular. You see photos of the couple as they each have grown up! Well...I always loose it seeing them as babies and their journey to adults! I think it is the realization that is just goes too quick and we really need to savor each and every moment! I'm working to savor those small everyday moments with all my little ones and I cherish the memories I have of just the everyday things with Lindsay and Aaron. I was thrilled to make Ashley's favors for her wedding! All 248 of them! I'm so thankful for my Mother-in-law's help in what we dubbed the "purple project". We had many a days at my dining room table visiting and working on the favors! So fun! Ashley seemed thrilled with the finished project. I am disappointed to say that my camera seems to have given up as of last Thursday...so these are awful photos...but I wanted to share them none the less! The first is of their wedding favors on the table and the second is of the card I made for her and Russell. I used Elegant Eggplant and Silver Cardstock and some now retired Lavender Lace. The fancy favor die was used to make the box. Ashley loves Paris...so I used the new Artistic Etchings set from the New 2010-2011 catalog! Love this set!
Borrowed my Mother-in-law's camera and took a quick photo of one of the favors...

Sounds like it was a really special day for everyone. Your favors and card were so special! Good job Jolie!!!
